Metta Bhavana
It seems like starting off a meditation with metta (loving kindness) meditation first, and directing the metta towards myself first and then to other sentient beings, is a good way to calm my mind troubled by a million troubles. It's especially helpful when my mind is as full of anger as it is.After that,I proceeded to do anapanasati, and the focus is a lot better than without the metta bhavana.
